When QTouch first launched its one-of-a-kind dispenser, the goal was to answer a problem that had been present in the salon space for years: tearing foils by hand is annoying, time consuming, and often wasteful. Our first design was simple yet effective: a steel frame that held a single roll of foil with a sharp blade at the end, allowing stylists to eliminate annoying prep work that was wasting time and energy that could be used elsewhere. So why not stop there? Why did we design a dispenser that held two rolls of product in addition to the original?

The answer is simple: functionality & flexibility.

The first design of our dispenser was already a big hit with stylists. But as we observed the single tier design in action, we began to pick up on some interesting techniques and habits of people working behind the chair. Many stylists used different products for different services: films for balayage, different colored foils to distinguish highlights from lowlights, or even different foil textures for different hair types. Sometimes, they would even use a unique combination of products to achieve a desired result. We knew there had to be a better solution than constantly switching out these rolls in their dispenser in situations like these.
